Here are a some false hunger signals to look out for:
- Thirst is often misinterpreted as hunger.
- Needing to refresh your breath.
- Feeling cold. You feel the need for something hot. You feel the need for chocolate and other fattening foods, when all you need is to get warm. Try something else such as taking a warm shower, climbing stairs, dancing, or exercising in place.
- Feeling the need to eat for emotional comfort.
- Boredom. Nothing better to do.
